"My wife and I stayed for 3 nights in a beautiful room in this very, very nice hotel. Everything was up to our expectations and we enjoyed our stay in this impressive place with its friendly and competent staff. The restaurant is grand and I must give credit to the kitchen for serving some tasty Rajasthani dishes."
"
We knew this hotel is a living haveli so we were excited to have a one night stay here. Staying at this hotel was really the impressive and wonderful experience in our many days trip in Rajasthan. We were stunned entering this huge beautiful haveli and being showed around to see other luxurious rooms with antique furniture and art collections of Rajasthan. For us it’s like staying in a palace.
Even though the road is narrow and small but we really enjoyed that morning walk. We had dinner and breakfast here. It’s vegetarian but tastes great. The dining room is also grand and beautiful. We loved sitting at the table outside the dining room and enjoyed the night at Haveli.

"A wonderful experience for our final day of touring in Rajasthan. We could not believe our eyes when we entered our room - so large, with a beautiful four poster bed, antique furniture and paintings. Set around a large courtyard makes the hotel a peaceful oasis in the hectic city. As a large group was staying, we were given a private table for dinner overlooking the courtyard listening to a man playing the flute. Staff were all very friendly and helpful."
"This is what a heritage hotel should be, extremely well managed, comfortably and well-cared for. After so many heritage hotels that clearly suffer from massive disinterest and neglect from their owners, it was a pleasure to stay at one where the manager is absolutely on top of things and where the public spaces as well as the rooms exude warmth and charm. The service was excellent and the food delicious. For those who wish to be in the heart of Bikaner's old town, right in the midst of all the tiny winding streets, this gorgeous haveli is the place to be."
We have been in Rajasthan for 10 days from Khimsar to Nagaur to Bikaner and Jodhpur, and our favourite place has been Gaj Kesri for several reasons. The food at Polki restaurant was delicious and our large party of over twenty people were all served a piping hot Rajasthani thali with baajri ki roti and fresh seasonal sabzis at the same time. Not only was the coordination and service exceptional, but the food was just like traditional home-cooked food, giving our digestive systems a break from heavy restaurant food. The gajar ka halwa was also perfect! The grounds are also huge, clean and beautiful so that we enjoyed strolling and admiring the spendid architecture and courtyard perfect for gatherings of any size. Bikaneri Usta art and crafts are on display in all rooms and in the magnificent drawing room with portraits of members of the illustrious Rampuria family who own havelis in the city and are renowned for their philanthropic work and support of traditional Rajasthani arts, crafts and jewelry. Gaj Kesri is the ideal place to rejuvenate on a tour of Rajasthan, so peaceful and surrounded by wild lands, and we went on multiple tours: Joorbheed to see huge migratory birds and vultures, Jhunagarh Fort to see the exquisite mahals, and the Bikaji bhujia factory to see how Bikaner’s world renowned snacks and desserts are made. There is so much to see in Rajasthan and I will definitely be returning to explore more places such as Jaisalmer, but I know one thing for certain…I will definitely fit in another multi-day stay at Gaj Kesri to enjoy home-style cuisine, the peaceful grounds complete with a spa and pool, the incomparable service, the helpful arrangement of local tours and knowledgeable guides, and the warm hospitality.
Amazing stay. You are on fringe of the city, still out of the city. The moment you enter the premises, it grows on you. Elegantly furnished rooms in heritage style, nice architecture and green surroundings hit on you. Walk lovers can hit green lawns and yoga lovers can use pool area between the greens. Serenity and calmness in lush green environment takes you to next level of peace.
What a spectacular property! Each corner of the property has a beauty of its own, the kind of art installations and eye for detail is worth all the praise! The staff was very generous and super courteous, and the food is breathtakingly amazing!! They took very good care of us and the variety of food we were served was beyond imagination. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED
